Blaise Martinez (Pistotnik) Friday, 7/14/00, 8:40 PM I was feeling left out last month when my husband got his invitation for his 20th high school reunion and I realized that I wasn't going to have one because I was only at the school I graduated from for a few months and I really didn't keep in touch with anyone. I mentioned this to my still (after 24 years!) best friend, Vickie Branaman, and she said she had heard of a Yo-Hi web site. I found the first one and got in touch with Lori Hunt. She sent me to Tom Doyle's site and from there I found this one. I am just amazed to see how technology has brought together a group of people who spent their whole lives being apart from what most people consider a "normal" life. My husband has friends he's known since he was a kid who still live a few blocks away. I've never had that but want to thank everyone who has made me feel connected to the past. George Matsuo Friday, 5/26/00, 5:41 PM Updated May 26, 2000: Seattle was a blast. Got to whet my appetite for making beer (and drinking it too). Sampled some really good stuff at Red Hawk, Engine House #9, Pike's, and the Pyramid. Next time must try Oregon (right Cindy?). Also got to see the Space Needle. The trip went real smooth thanks to Yumi and Jim Miller. [Jim took me to a GI Joe which I always thought was just the name for a toy from Mattel.] Arthur is the talk of the town with the lures I got him. He's also catching some real nice fish too! Following week was spent in New York. Saw AIDA and Miss Saigon. Also got to taste an infamous stout beer called Farmer John's Oatmeal Stout at the Heartland Brewery in Manhatten. Absolutely marvelous! Well, just wanted to erase the old announcement I had up here and update it with new stuff. Newer stuff will go on my homepage (when I get around to doing it).
